Kidney Disease Screening & Awareness Program

The Education and Art of Medicine

Kidney Disease Screening & Awareness Program is dedicated to helping community members learn about kidney health and how their own kidneys are doing. Catching earlier forms of kidney disease can help countless people since common conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes are the leading causes of chronic kidney disease.

TEAM by Anjali uses anatomical artwork as a form of education and healing, donating pieces to medical offices to help create more comforting and meaningful spaces. Through art, Anjali raises awareness about mental health and wellness.

DREAM is a program that bridges opportunity gaps by providing no-cost programs to youth and their families. Professional stylists volunteered their time and talents to help DREAMers feel confident, cared for, and seen. DREAM’s Boston community culminated their school-year mentoring programming with a Spring Celebration shaped by youth voices.

The Westchester Youth Alliance empowers diverse high school students throughout the county to engage in community service, meaningful dialogue, and cultural awareness, equipping them with the skills to build connected communities and shape a more inclusive future.

Center Lane provides affirming supportive, educational, and recreational programming for LGBTQIA+ youth. WJCS Center Lane recently strengthened its community impact by participating in PrideWorks, Westchester’s annual LGBTQ+ youth conference that brings together young people, families, educators, and advocates for education, empowerment, and community-building.

Letters of Love provides emotional support to children battling serious illnesses through the creation of hand-crafted, heartfelt letters. Students writing hand-crafted letters to children in hospitals create moments of connection during times that need it most.

Projekt NYC

Projekt NYC empowers NYC youth through education, leadership, and community service. This year, Projekt NYC partnered with the Astoria Park Alliance for the annual Astoria Park Beautification Day, mobilizing 75 teens from across New York City to contribute over 150 community service hours.

PALS Programs’ mission is to create inclusive camp experiences for people with and without Down syndrome. Their volunteer-led programs change attitudes, transform lives, and inspire a world of belonging.
